Ever happened that you just can’t find something and you know that it is right there somewhere and no, this time your mother won’t come to help you find it because she is at her home being the perfect magician that she already is and as it turns out you did not get those magical powers in your genes to discovers stuffs that stay hidden from normal eyes. 👀
Now, my mind is just not at rest since the last two days. Why? The reason is pretty lame. It so happens I just can’t find the remote to my Stevie!!! (I meant TV, just in case you don’t know that I have a weird habit of naming stuffs.) Anyways, the call for the remote is even more urgent because I just recharged my dish TV the day before and my remote seems to have vanished into thin air since then. I so miss being couch potato and this mystery is just killing me.
Recap to the proceedings of day before and the mystery for you to solve(I sincerely hope) :
I happily surfed the channels and decided to watch Sky High and yes the remote was there with me then. I was in my recliner sofa and when the movie finished(which BTW I feel is a great movie) I wanted to change the channel but couldn’t. There was no remote to be found !!! Now, in between the movie breaks I got up just once for my dinner and then returned to my seat. That’s it and the remote just walked away out of my life. Now I have my suspicion that the recliner ate it up but trust me I have already operated the recliner and it’s not there. 🙄 I searched every corner of my small house and Nopes. Hard luck!!!

It’s two days and no sign of my remote. It’s really strange though. What do you think? Don’t you get frustrated if you can’t find the thing that you are looking for? Let me know if something like this ever happened to you too. Maybe it was right in front of you and you were searching the whole house while playing blame games too😉
I wish I had some magic potion with me right now. 🤦

Personally, I think it is still inside the recliners somewhere. You DO realize that the average recliner has FOUR stomachs, right?

It did actually. It was in for about 2 hours. My daughter left a camera in the snow for most of the day. Technology is resilient, once it thaws and dries.

Have you looked under both recliners? Recliner side pockets? Fridge? Freezer? Oven? Inside all kitchen cabinets?

The recliners are a bit hard to search for. Though I did how much I could. Searched every other possible places too that I literally feel like laughing now. I even opened the utensils cover and checked the inside food that I had for dinner🤦 It really has vanished into thin air. It must be in recliner. No other explanation 😯

So something good came out of this post. Lol😂 Well this has to be one of the most important lesson learnt in my life 😂 Never keep the remote on the recliner. (I still blame the recliner) 🙈

My kids have a habit of taking the remote to the kitchen with them! Incase someone changes the channel whilst they are getting a snack or drink!!!

Ah you have no idea. I have had dreams of finding the remote in my sleep😂 I have to buy a new one. Maybe I will find this remote after I buy the new one. Lol

I, too, thought it would be in/ under the recliner. If not, then my next idea is that you threw it away. Maybe you had a pizza box open, put your remote there for a moment, then closed the box and threw it out. Happened to me. Not with a remote, but with some utensils.

I checked all the utensils and the even the food that I ate and kept in friedge🙈 It’s nowhere. So it has to be the recliner. But again it’s not yet ready to throw up, much to my dismay. I might as well buy a new one😢

I’m afraid is a common happening,I misplaced it all the time but when it is nowhere to be seen is usually behind the cushion….except that time it was inside the dog stomach….hope it is not your case….and if u are wondering no,he has been not sick after eating it🙈

Oh my! Did your dog really eat the remote 😂 That’s hilarious. Haha. I wish I could have such kind of reasoning for myself in this case. But it seems the recliner has eaten the remote and am unable to find it inside. Might as well buy a new one. Sigh!

I hate when I lose things, it drives me crazy. Usually when I miss place something I just start cleaning the area where I last had it. Most of the time if cleaning doesn’t work then my mom usually finds it for me so…. 🤷🏾♀️

In my experience these magic wands reappear (as if by magic) after a time. The trick is to have at least three of them, so that when one goes missing you can use a different one 🙂
