Artistic Thursday : Grass Is Greener On My Side🌿

If you have been following my Blog, you would by now know that I had lost the will to paint after my dogs loss from my life. It’s not like I din’t try. I would take out my brushes, my canvas, my paints and just stare at the canvas. I would start with bright colors(representing happy thoughts here) thinking I would get ideas and just go with the flow. But each and every time I would end up with disastrous dark color stroked throughout the canvas. I noticed this pattern for several days. I could feel the negativity inside me. I had to move on. Moving on din’t necessarily mean forgetting her. The love and memory is still intact. But I owe this to her. I was determined I wouldn’t give up.

I have previously painted in larger canvases but it seemed I wasn’t yet prepared to jump in the ocean. So I decided to jump in a pool instead. One step at a time led me One step closer to what I aimed for.

  • Let me take a smaller canvas.√
  • Let me paint just a little.√
  • Let me just listen to my heart.√
  • Let me just paint the canvas with my feelings.√

and so I did, and the result is in front of you. I present to you my painting : Grass Is Greener On My Side.

Believe you can and you’re half way there.

This might not be one of my best paintings but I chose to publish this first because I wanted to prove a point.

No matter what you go through in your life, whatever hardships or obstacles you may face. Never give up. Believe in yourself and have the faith that tomorrow will undoubtedly be a better day . When you push yourself a little bit everyday, when you motivate yourself a little bit everyday, you are bound to find yourself in a better state the next day. Just never lose hope. Just believe that the Grass Is Greener On Your Side.

I decided to accept the truth(Though I still find it hard to talk about this with anyone. I end up crying and that’s not a pretty face). But I am fine.
Now it’s your turn. Have you accepted your truth?

Let me know what you think of this painting. I love learning new techniques. I made this with the help of palette knife and brushes. Any new suggestions are more than welcome and I will make sure to make it with them and keep you all updated . 🙂

Summing up the things I used for this painting :

PS: I am much better now. I have finally bid farewell to my uninvited guest: FEVER. Talking of which, if you want to know my feelings for unwanted guests please checkout my post : The Shortest Horror Story Of My Life

  5. I love painting too! It’s the best way to channel emotions. When I’m feeling some type of way I just pick up a brush and paint. Keep on painting!

    1. True, you just seem to dissolve your emotions in the colors and create a new shade. It’s a magical feeling.

      1. Definitely Agree!
