How much time do you think I have to wake up, makeup, and get all dressed up just to go… nowhere? Have you ever done something like this? I got this sudden urge to try practicing eye makeup (because I suck at it) and even though it was an epic fail I went ahead and applied lipstick and it was that moment when I realized I did all this for nothing. How sad?
Just the thought of going through the painstaking task of removing my makeup made me get all dressed up so I could at least click some pictures with this new Banarasi Art Silk Saree which now I believe was a wise decision. Scroll down to see me posing. Also, this happens to be the first time I am posting my pictures here so drumrolls, please!!! Presenting before you, you’re very own Rimika in The Saree Saga Segment. Let me know which one you like the most.
I do not indulge myself in shopping sarees much because I know it will probably be a one-time affair for me so I go for light weighted and reasonably priced saree like this one. Thanks to online shopping I got this from the brand Varkala Silk Sarees available on Amazon without any hassle.
Fun Fact: I learned draping saree on my own and that too when I was a kid. I used to be so fascinated watching my mother in a saree that I would play Teacher-Teacher wearing her saree in my imaginary classroom full of imaginary kids. It gave me confidence then and surprisingly it still does.
PS: Have you ever tried on a saree before? I know Indians have but I am asking this to all the women out there who live outside of India. If you haven’t, I insist you must give it a try. The moment you drape a saree, you feel beautiful and traditional from within. Do you have any traditional outfit in your place like we have in India? Be it anything, one thing is for sure. If anything can unite all the girls together then that is clothing and Fashion. Isn’t it?
With the hope that we keep spreading the love because currently, that’s the need of the hours,
I Heart You All ❤

Fabulous …You look beautiful
Thank you so much 🤗
I think I prefer the second picture. Very elegant. I like the way the ‘I love this’ on the background suits the image (though I’m a little disturbed by the ‘Why would a dead…’ (what, rhinoceros? do what?)
No, I’ve never tried on a sari. But then, I’m not a lady (or, is that sexist?).
Thank you 🙂 Haha! Even I am not sure what the “Why would a dead” means in the background. Should have probably edited it out. 😀
And not at all. You’re far from being sexist 🙂
What was the occasion? Or did you just get a professional shoot because you felt like it?
Cool stuff. Your accessories pair nicely.
Glad you like it 🙂 There was no occasion as such but I had click few pictures to promote this Saree I received from the brand and once I am in mood there’s no stopping. haha
That’s awesome!
I love the way you took the time to get ready – sometimes it is important to do it for yourself. and BTW you look gorgeous as ever
